Healthline Ad Refresh
Original Social Banner Creative
Role: Creative Direction, Canva AI Design
The Healthline Paid Media team wanted to improve CTR and CPUV for Healthline paid advertisements by moving from generic stock images into a cohesive, refreshed brand aesthetic. The goal was to move beyond basic stock imagery by adding creative visual elements, branding, and logos to make ads feel more professional, clean, and trustworthy.
After some design exploration, I landed on an aesthetic that the Paid Team loved. They captured some interesting performance insights after a month of going live.

By pairing creative exploration with performance metrics, this campaign uncovered which design decisions truly scale. The most successful ads delivered measurable efficiency gains - cutting CPC by double digits and reducing CPUV significantly - by focusing on direct, benefit-led messaging. These wins validated a design approach rooted in simplicity, readability, and immediate relevance.
However, the results also underscored the risk of over-designing. In several cases, added complexity or reframed messaging led to higher costs and weaker engagement. The contrast between top and bottom performers made one thing clear: the most effective creative doesn’t try to say more - it communicates the right thing, faster.
